Loom proportion
West African strip looms weave narrow. The house keeps that width as a design law.
Kente and Faso Dan Fani come off narrow strip looms — roughly 9 to 14 cm wide — and are joined edge to edge into a whole cloth. We keep the strip as a unit of measure: panel widths, seam intervals, pocket bags and yoke depths are set to loom multiples instead of pattern-block convention. A cashmere coat cut on strip intervals reads African in structure even when it carries no African textile at all.
